Valdir left Brazil at seventeen, alone, for an exchange year in Buenos Aires with the Rotary Club. He came back speaking Spanish and certain that his life would be built somewhere else. In July 2000 he landed in the United States to learn English and stay one year. He never went back.
In the United States, Valdir built his career, married and became the father of two daughters. Behind the professional achievements, he also went through one of the hardest periods of his life. He made choices he regrets, watched his marriage end and realized that material success had not filled the emptiness he carried inside.
Years later, he met his current wife and rediscovered the faith he had left behind. He returned to church, rebuilt his life on different principles and became a father again, this time to two sons. Today, as a father of four, a licensed loan officer and an entrepreneur, he uses his experience to help other immigrant families build a more secure future in America.

1997 · BUENOS AIRES
The First International Experience
At seventeen I went from Brazil to Buenos Aires on a Rotary Club exchange. Living in another country at that age taught me to handle myself alone and to make myself understood in a language I was still learning. I came back speaking Spanish, and with a much clearer sense of how much existed outside Brazil.

2000 · UNITED STATES
Starting From Zero
I arrived in the United States in July 2000, planning to stay one year and learn English. I never left.
Everything was new at the same time: the country, the financial system, the way business gets done here. I learned it the way most immigrants do, by working and paying attention. What stayed with me is that nobody was going to hand me an opportunity. I had to build one.

FAMILY AND HARD TIMES
What Success Could Not Fill
I worked hard, built a career, found stability and put down roots. I married and became the father of two daughters. From the outside, it looked like the American dream. Inside, however, I had drifted away from my faith and was trying to sustain my life through my own plans and ambitions. I made choices I deeply regret, and my marriage came to an end.

A NEW BEGINNING
Finding My Faith Again
Some time later, I met my current wife. Her principles and genuine relationship with God awakened something in me that I had left behind.
I returned to church, and that return gradually became a personal encounter with Jesus. It was a process of honesty, repentance and transformation.
We built our marriage on different principles, our family grew stronger and I became a father again, this time to two sons.

Turning Experience Into Service
My professional path led me into financial services, real estate and mortgage lending. Over the years, I saw where immigrant families struggled to establish themselves financially. That experience shaped the companies I lead today.
I also write and teach about homeownership and real estate investing. My books show how a property can be both a home and part of the way a family builds wealth.

TODAY
Success With A New Meaning
Today I still believe in work, dreams and opportunity, but I measure success differently. What matters is not only what I have built, but the values I pass on and the impact I leave in other people’s lives.
I am grateful for everything I have built as an immigrant in the United States. I also know that achievements lose their meaning when we are disconnected from God. I continue learning every day as a husband, father and entrepreneur.
No matter how far someone has gone, how many mistakes they have made or how many times they have lost their way, there is always a chance to begin again when we allow God to transform our story.
